Movie (1959)
Small-town sheriff John Wayne and drunken deputy Dean Martin make a courageous stand, battling against a gang of outlaws threatening to tear apart a peace-loving town. Howard Hawks' masterly Western epic is widely regarded as a genre classic, thanks to fine performances from the uniformly excellent cast, and a sense of mischief that makes it all the more watchable. Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson and Walter Brennan are among the supporting cast.
