A criminal robs a bank to ensure a brighter future for his prostitute lover, but she is shot by a policeman as they flee the scene of the crime. He hides out on a farm owned by his grandfather and befriends their neighbour, but when he learns her husband is married to the policeman, his thoughts turn to revenge.
