Red Shoe Diaries

David Duchovny stars as Jake Winters, an architect who is devastated when his fiancee unexpectedly commits suicide. In an attempt to uncover a reason for the tragic event, he studies the diary of his deceased partner, and in doing so, discovers that she was having an affair with a construction worker. Jake is left feeling emotionally empty after confronting the man, and in an attempt to gain an insight into the female mind, he places an anonymous advertisement in a newspaper inviting women to confess their secrets to him.
