Clark Gable and Jean Harlow are the main protagonists in this passionate tale of a complicated love triangle involving a plantation boss, the bride of one of his workers, and a stranded prostitute. A sexy film in its day, and still boasting plenty of vigour, despite a middling script. It also features Mary Astor, Gene Raymond and Donald Crisp and was remade two decades later as Mogambo, with Gable again taking the lead role
