TV executive Richard Gere is falsely accused of the murder of a beautiful model, who also happens to be the daughter of a high-ranking general, during a business trip to China. He finds himself facing the death penalty, and after convincing his court-appointed lawyer of his innocence, the pair embark on a desperate effort to clear his name. Intriguing but ultimately unconvincing thriller, also starring Bai Ling, Bradley Whitford, Byron Mann and Peter Donat
