Acclaimed biopic of soul singer Ray Charles, chronicling his life from his teenage years and exploring his battle against bigotry, drug addiction and personal demons as he finds fame. Blind by the time he was seven years old, the musician flirted with styles including gospel, jazz and country, and became known as one of the music industry's most innovative performers. Jamie Foxx scooped the Best Actor Oscar in 2005 for his performance, while Regina King, Kerry Washington, Clifton Powell and Bokeem Woodbine offer support.
