We follow the struggles of two women: Maurea, from Tahiti and Annie from New Zealand. The first actively campaigns against the nuclear threat on a French Polynesian island where this issue remains taboo. She demands that the truth should finally be told concerning the French nuclear tests. The second, Annie, is following in the footsteps of her parents, two heroic figures of the New Zealand antinuclear scene. In this Pacific nation, she embodies both the idealistic hope of people power and the despair felt by a younger generation still facing a nuclear threat. Because despite the states' commitment to disarm, the treaties continue to be flouted and the danger is growing day by day without encountering any massive popular resistance.
