Christopher Walken returns as renegade archangel Gabriel in this lacklustre supernatural horror sequel which sees him locked in a battle with celestial foe Danyael, who has fathered a child with a human woman chosen by God. Walken goes wonderfully over the top as the twisted being, but it's not enough to save this from slipping into substandard territory. Russell Wong, Jennifer Beals, Brittany Murphy and Eric Roberts co-star
