Movie (2009)
Set in the late 1980s Harlem in New York City, a young girl suffers emotional and physical abuse at the hands of her parents. When "Precious" is selected to attend a new school, she takes the opportunity to better her life for herself and her children. Moving drama starring Gabourey Sidibe as the lead character, with Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey, Sherri Shepherd and Lenny Kravitz supporting.
