An astronaut crash-lands on a strange planet ruled by apes, and it's not long before he's taken prisoner. Luckily, he finds help in the form of a sympathetic human rights activist - and discovers a shocking secret. Tim Burton's colourful all-action revamp of the Sixties classic, which doesn't quite live up to the original, with Mark Wahlberg stepping into Charlton Heston's boots, and Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Roth and Michael Clarke Duncan donning heavy make-up.
