Steve Martin and John Candy make for a great double act in John Hughes' comedy road movie. Martin plays Neal Page, a stressed businessman who just wants to make it home to spend Thanksgiving with his family. But when his flight is forced to land miles from its destination, he's forced to share a journey across America with slobbish salesman Del Griffith (Candy), which is soon beset by one disaster after another. Also starring Laila Robins, and featuring appearances by Kevin Bacon and Spinal Tap's Michael McKean
