Movie (2003)
A blacksmith's courageous apprentice vows to rescue the girl he loves when she's kidnapped by nefarious pirates. However, he's forced to team up with a disreputable mercenary to save the day, leading to all manner of excitement as they close in on their quarry. Swashbuckling adventure set on the high seas and based on the Disney theme park ride. Johnny Depp steals the show with a hilarious performance as a scurvy pirate, apparently using Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards as inspiration, while the more reserved duo Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley add a dashing edge to procedures. Geoffrey Rush, Jack Davenport and Jonathan Pryce also star.
