The world's most inept police detective, Inspector Clouseau, heads off to Switzerland in search of a suave jewel thief targeting a valuable gem - but the bumbling officer's attempts to foil the crime create chaos. Blake Edwards' priceless comedy, which proved so successful it spawned a host of sequels (and a few misjudged remakes). Peter Sellers is on side-splitting form as the clumsy copper, alongside David Niven, Capucine, Robert Wagner and Claudia Cardinale. Watch out for the famed cartoon Pink Panther making his debut appearance in the opening credits
