Movie (1993)
Clint Eastwood directed and stars in this brooding but wonderfully emotional melodrama about a hard-bitten convict (Kevin Costner) who escapes from prison and takes a seven-year-old boy hostage, dragging him off on an adventure. Grizzled Texas Ranger Eastwood is soon on the trail of the fugitive, accompanied by criminologist Laura Dern - but they don't expect the crook and his young hostage to form such an attachment to one another.
