Synopsis:
Mel Gibson's controversial and shockingly violent religious drama following the final 12 hours of Jesus' life. The film begins with his betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane, then takes the viewer through Jesus' agonising beatings, before clixaing with a nightmarish, graphic recreation of the horrors of crucifixion. Not one for the faint-hearted, it stars Jim Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern and Monica Bellucci. In Hebrew, Latin and Aramaic, with English subtitles.
