A student visits a psychiatric hospital, where he encounters a serial killer with hypnotic powers and a woman with a condition that means she spends most of her life asleep. When he learns she is to be sent to a disreputable lab to be experimented on, he breaks her out - unaware the murderer has the power to enter her dreams.
