Movie (1995)
Mario Van Peebles' powerful drama about the Black Panther movement in the 1960s and the FBI's unorthodox attempts to bring it down. Courtney B Vance and Kadeem Hardison star as its founding members, with Bokeem Woodbine and the always watchable Joe Don Baker. Perhaps not as good as Peebles' directorial debut New Jack City, but its heart is in the right place and he gets some sterling performances from the talented cast
