Surreal drama, featuring eight diverse actresses in the role of Aviva - a teenage girl obsessed with becoming pregnant. When her mother forces her to have an abortion she runs away from home, and encounters a collection of increasingly dubious characters during her travels. Focusing on themes of sexuality, exclusion and the cycle of life, director Todd Solondz creates a disturbing and often distasteful fairytale which boasts grand ideas but delivers very little.
