Movie (1985)
A mother (Mary Steenburgen) who has lost her enthusiasm for the festive season receives a visit from an angel intent on cheering her up - but the visitor's best efforts backfire on the miserable family as a string of misfortunes engulfs them. Intelligent but depressing sentimental drama, with fine performances from an excellent cast, which also includes Gary Basaraba, Harry Dean Stanton, Arthur Hill, Elias Koteas and Robbie Magwood
