Musical biopic of composer Fred Fisher. The film focuses on his relationship with a music publisher, who persuades the penniless Fisher to turn his opera melodies into popular hits. Desperate for money, Fisher agrees, and success follows, but he is gradually plunged into despair as his dream of writing an opera vanishes. Starring SZ Sakall and Mark Stevens
