Movie (1987)
This comedy drama was made for cable by Disney, and centres on an inventor who creates an android son, as the brother his daughter has always wanted. He soon decides to send the mechanical lad to school to see if people will accept it as a real person - but evil villains have designs on the little robot. Joseph Bologna, Jay Underwood, Alan Thicke and Robyn Lively are the watchable stars
