A woman stuck in an unhappy marriage and with a problem teenage daughter volunteers to look after a friend's inn in a remote coastal town in North Carolina, to give herself time to think. She finds herself with only one guest, a doctor trying to reconcile with his estranged son, and an unexpected romance develops. Romantic drama, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
