A teenager and his family move into the house vacated by the young heroine of the first film. However, their presence unwittingly unleashes a new period of horror as undead child killer Freddy Krueger sets out to possess the alarmed adolescent. The poor lad attempts all the usual tricks to stay awake, but as the murderous maniac draws closer, he must race to escape a grisly fate.
