Movie (1934)
Anna Neagle plays the orange-seller mistress of King Charles II (Cedric Hardwicke) in this enjoyable period drama based on the couple's scandalous affair. Jean de Casalis and Muriel George also star. Directed by Herbert Wilcox, whose familiarity with the subject matter - he was also at the helm of the 1926 version - adds a polished look to the film. Shown in celebration of the centenary of Anna Neagle's birth
