Movie (1984)
Robert Redford stars as a baseball prodigy whose dreams of sporting stardom are cut short when he gets shot. Once he's recovered from his injuries, he rejoins his team as a rookie recruit at an age when most players are retiring - only to enjoy an unexpected run of success. Charming, emotional drama, although perhaps not one for viewers of a cynical bent, co-starring Glenn Close, Kim Basinger, Robert Duvall and Barbara Hershey.
