Leslie Nielsen reprises his role as police detective Frank Drebin, who somehow always manages to get the job done despite his staggering ineptitude. Here he attempts to retire from the force and settle down with his beloved Jane (Priscilla Presley), but is lured back by the opportunity of foiling a terrorist plot. Going undercover in prison, he attempts to prevent an evil mastermind from escaping and carrying out his fiendish plan - to blow up the Oscar ceremony. Cue general bedlam as the clueless cop proceeds to blaze a trail of destruction across an unsuspecting America. Spoof thriller, also starring OJ Simpson, George Kennedy and Fred Ward
