A photographer agrees to look after a private eye's office, but a mysterious woman mistakes him for a real detective. Desperate to impress her, he keeps up the pretence of being the sleuth and takes on the search for her missing uncle, blundering into danger as he is pursued by a crooked lawyer's henchmen.
