Movie (1999)
A violinist is taken on as a part-time teacher in a tough Harlem school. At first her students are hostile and unwilling, but in time she makes a breakthrough and connects with the teenagers through the power of music. All looks well for the future until the budget is cut, forcing her pupils and their parents to band together to prevent the department from going under. Fact-based drama, starring Meryl Streep, Aidan Quinn and Angela Bassett. Directed by Wes Craven
