Michael Caine takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserly old man whose downright disgraceful view of Christmas is changed by visits from a succession of seasonal spooks determined to bring a little festive cheer into his mean-spirited life. Cheering comedy for children of all ages, also starring Steven Mackintosh and Meredith Braun, who make up the human element, with such acting greats as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, the Great Gonzo and Fozzie Bear offering an unusual variation to the roles of some of Charles Dickens' most famous characters, including Mr and Mrs Cratchit, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future
