Movie (1998)
Gorgeous and enthralling Disney animated adventure inspired by a Chinese folk tale, following the exploits of Mulan, a girl who rejects her traditional role in an attempt to save her ailing father's life. When war threatens, he's determined to fight with the ordinary soldiers, prompting his daughter to enlist in his place - a move that ensures her destiny as a national hero and, surprisingly, helps her in the search for romance. Eddie Murphy provides the voice of the young warrior's cheeky pocket-sized dragon companion Mushu, with BD Wong, Ming-Na, Miguel Ferrer, Miriam Margolyes and Harvey Fierstein providing able vocal support. Singing voices come courtesy of Donny Osmond and Lea Salonga
