Biblical comedy from Monty Python, that raised controversy on its original release and represents the comedy team at the height of their powers. Graham Chapman takes the lead role as an ordinary man in Roman-occupied Judea who is repeatedly mistaken for the Messiah, becoming a reluctant figure of worship and getting involved with a revolutionary movement. Starring John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam - in a multitude of roles each - with cameos by Spike Milligan and former Beatle George Harrison
