Synopsis:
Spinster Vanessa Redgrave's blossoming holiday friendship with starchy former Army officer Edward Fox is thrown into disarray by the arrival of attractive, flirtatious nanny Uma Thurman. This period drama, based on a novella by HE Bates, is lovely to look at, but lacks substance - however, it's a pleasurable enough way to pass the time. Also starring Alessandro Gassman and Alida Valli
