Old friends Sulley (voiced by John Goodman) and Mike (Billy Crystal) work for an energy firm, where scary monsters sneak into children's bedrooms and convert their screams into power, ensuring they never touch the apparently toxic toddlers. However, when a cute little girl wanders into her closet and straight into the pair's world, they must race against time to return her home before anyone finds out. Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly and Mary Gibbs (as the delightfully cute Boo) also add their vocals to the mesmerising animation sequences, in an adventure that showcases not only the Pixar studio's technological skills but their wonderful talent for story-telling
