Movie (1996)

The cult 1960s spy series is reinvented in his blockbusting action thriller. Tom Cruise heads up the new Impossible Missions team, whose latest assignment is to unmask a traitor in the organisation. However, the mission ends in disaster with the rest of the team wiped out. With Cruise the only survivor, he is accused of being the mole, forcing him to go on the run to clear his name. Meanwhile, the real villain intends to sell information about the world's undercover operatives to the highest bidder. Brian De Palma festoons his film with explosions, plot twists and nerve-jangling moments galore. Jon Voight, Emmanuelle Beart, Jean Reno, Vanessa Redgrave and Ving Rhames make up the impressive cast.
