Movie (1949)
A crook creates a fake real estate company to cover up his real business - running illegal gambling. To maintain the illusion, he hires a naive young woman to be his secretary, thinking she isn't bright enough to work out the truth. However, when the receptionist learns some of her friends are about to lose their homes, the hustler is forced to do his fake job for real to keep his secret.
