Marilyn Monroe plays a divorcee who forms a relationship with a group of latter-day cowboys struggling to eke out a living roping wild horses in the Nevada desert. John Huston's brooding Western flopped on release, but rapidly gained cult status as the final completed film of both Monroe and leading man Clark Gable.
