Movie (1983)
Bizarre but rewarding tale set in a Japanese PoW camp during World War Two, exploring the complex relationship between captors and prisoners. Rebellious soldier David Bowie finds himself at loggerheads with commandant Ryuichi Sakomoto, while bilingual Tom Conti, who ends up acting as intermediary between the two sides, struggles to steer clear of sadistic Takeshi Kitano.
