Guy Pearce stars as a desperate man who loses his short-term memory in an attack but resolves to track down the person responsible for murdering his wife in the same incident. Unable to remember events for more than a few minutes, he is forced to rely on copious note-taking and bizarre tattoos all over his body, in the hope that he'll eventually track down the culprit.
