Movie (1994)
Mel Gibson plays Bret Maverick, a suave con artist who joins forces with the equally wily Jodie Foster to cheat his way across the Wild West and win enough money to enter a high-stakes poker tournament. Top-drawer Western comedy, with James Garner, star of the original TV series, lending support alongside Graham Greene and James Coburn. Directed by Richard Donner, who also teamed up with Gibson for the popular Lethal Weapon series.
