Comedy drama, a forerunner to the hugely successful TV series, about a group of American battlefield surgeons who embark on a campaign of drinking, womanising and practical jokes in an attempt to alleviate the horror of the Korean War. Donald Sutherland, Elliott Gould, Tom Skerritt, Sally Kellerman and Robert Duvall star in this excellent and irreverent offering from Robert Altman, which cheerily stuck two fingers up at the establishment
