When TV talk-show host Tom Dobbs decides on a whim to run for president, his legions of fans launch a campaign to support him, resulting in his appointment as the US head of state. However, when it becomes apparent to a few insiders that Tom's victory was the result of a computer glitch, he faces the tough decision of whether to stay in office.
