The Love Bug
Movie (1997)
Remake of the slapstick Disney comedy, chronicling the adventures of an irrepressible Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own which takes a shine to an unsuccessful racing driver and helps him to a string of victories on the track. It's watchable enough, but fans of the superior first version may be left scratching their heads and asking why film-makers felt it necessary to rehash it.
