A flighty woman becomes tired of her ageing lover's reluctance to marry her, and in a fit of rage, she shoots him. Enlisting the help of the dead man's besotted son, she flees to London. However, her amoral behaviour soon leaves her with no-one to turn to. Silent melodrama, starring Louise Brooks, Fritz Kortner, Francis Lederer and Alice Roberts
