Movie (1983)
A radical feminist builds a car from scratch with the intention of driving it across Europe to attend a German conference on women's rights. When her travelling companion has to cancel, she goes looking for someone else to share the driving - only to end up with a loud-mouthed male football fan who regards the woman's movement as a joke. Director Richard Eyre attempts to reinvent the 1930s screwball comedy for the Eighties, with mixed results, although Lindsay Duncan and Stephen Rea make good verbal sparring partners. Featuring appearances from Keith Allen and Robbie Coltrane
