Epic World War Two adventure chronicling the planning and execution of the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944. The film recreates battle scenes on an awesome scale, with the black and white photography giving it a documentary-style look. The film had three directors, handling the English, German and American perspectives. Starring Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Kenneth More, John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Henry Fonda and Curt Jürgens.
