Movie (1962)
A sailor with a talent for writing is discharged from duty due to ill health and returns home to his dysfunctional family. He finds they have all become hopelessly self-destructive, as his father's bitterness at his failed acting career leads him to put pressure on his alcoholic eldest son, while the mother sinks even further into morphine addiction. Drama based on Eugene O'Neill's stage play, with Ralph Richardson and Katharine Hepburn
