An American youngster living in a small town in Scotland struggles to fit in, and soon falls foul of a gang of bullies - but just as he despairs of ever making some new pals, he meets a family of friendly vampires who need his help to become mortal again. So the little lad sets out to aid his supernatural chums in their quest to find part of a magic amulet, and throw a ruthless vampire hunter off their trail as well.
