Movie (1988)
Biopic of the flamboyant pianist (Andrew Robinson) who combined his musical talent with a unique stage act to become an international legend and a hugely popular heart-throb. However, his personal life saw him dogged by demons and self-doubt, and in later years, he fell foul of many scandals. Robinson gives a great performance in the lead, but there's not enough meat here for viewers to get their teeth into. With Rue McClanahan and John Rubinstein
