Movie (1997)

Jim Carrey gets another chance to hone his manic persona in this smash-hit comedy. He plays a lawyer whose underhand efforts to win cases often leave him little time to see his son, prompting the youngster to make a wish on his birthday that unexpectedly comes true - and stops dad telling lies for an entire day. The attorney's new-found truthfulness leads to many amusing moments as he attempts to muddle his way through a divorce settlement in court without telling any fibs. Justin Cooper stars as the boy determined to make his father see the error of his ways, alongside Jennifer Tilly, Cary Elwes, Maura Tierney and Swoosie Kurtz co-star.
