A spoilt playboy turns the tables on his police interrogators during an investigation into the murder of a high-class prostitute, using convoluted verbal fencing to reveal more of the outclassed officers' hidden emotions than his own - leading to violence. Intelligent, if elaborate, psychological thriller, with leading man Tim Roth on excellent over-the-top form as the prime suspect, and co-stars Chris Penn, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Rooker, Rosanna Arquette and Renée Zellweger all giving solid performances
